Two vaccination policies have now been confirmed that will affect our upcoming hockey season and programing:

 

 

OMHA COVID-19 VACCINE POLICY :

This policy applies to “Affected Persons”, which includes the following:

• Players born in 2009 or earlier

• Team Officials (Coaches, Trainers and Managers, etc.)

• Game Officials (Referees, Linespersons, Timekeepers, etc.)

• Association Officials (Minor Hockey Association Directors, Officers, Executive and Staff)

• OMHA Officials (Directors, Executive and Staff, Including Hockey Development Personnel)

• Volunteers

• Instructors (Engaged by Association or Individual Teams to provide specialized instruction, Power Skating, Goaltending Coaching)

All Affected Persons are required to be Fully Vaccinated (including the 14-day period after receiving their completed dose) by October 22, 2021 or earlier.

All Affected Persons must present to their Association designate, as applicable, evidence satisfactory to the OMHA demonstrating that they have received the completed series of an Accepted COVID-19 Vaccine.

 

GALE CENTRE COVID-19 VACCINE POLICY :

As of September 22, 2021, patrons must be fully vaccinated (2 doses + 14 days) to enter a recreational facility.  Those included are:

• Adult (18+) patrons accessing the facility for any purpose, including parents or guardians of youth participating in an organized sport, walker & the general public.

• Youth (12+) that are spectating and not actively participating.

City staff are working on the following to allow both participants and spectators to enter the building efficiently:

• Creation of a ‘fast pass’ entrance for youth under the age of 18 or others on approved rosters

• Separate entrance for those requiring proof of vaccination

• Security staff posted at each entrance to help with validating vaccination records
