Minor Midget A Team Volunteers for Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart
Submitted By Julia Paul on Wednesday, June 5, 2019
The Niagara Falls Flyers Minor Midget A team took the community volunteering their time and efforts with the Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart in Toronto on June 2.

The boys were up early (5am) as they headed out to Toronto. They volunteered their day to work at the event. They handed out heart balloons, cheered on the participants as they crossed the finish line, took photos for people and applauded the young and the old to appreciate their accomplishments. They unloaded trucks full of barricades and road signs. They arrived at 8am and worked till 4pm. It was quite an experience.

17000 people participate in this event that raises over 6 million dollars for the Heart and Stroke foundation.

It was a fun day of team bonding and community involvement. What a great experience, we could not be more proud of these boys!! They represented our association wonderfully!

Great Job Flyers!
