NFMHA Midget Hockey Club wins Presidents Day Tournament!
Submitted By Julia Paul on Wednesday, February 20, 2019
Congratulations to our NFMHA Midget Hockey Club who won the 2019 Presidents Day Tournament, in Niagara Falls, NY over the weekend of February 16-18, 2019. The Flyers finished the tournament with a record of 3-0-1...

The tournament started with a first game win (5-0) over a team from Baltimore.  This was then followed up with a tie (4-4) against the Dragons (a team from Quebec) and then another win against a team from Pittsburgh. This set the stage for a rematch against the Dragons. In the Championship game the Flyers started with pressure right from the opening face off which resulted in a very early goal to take a 1-0 lead. The team never looked back and in the end our NF Flyers won by a score of 5-1 to claim the 2019 Presidents Day Tournament Championship. Congratulations to the team for a great job all weekend long!!

Our NFMHA Midget Hockey Club will now turn it’s attention back to winning a Niagara District Playoff Championship over the next several weeks.

GO FLYERS GO!!
