PeeWee AA Flyers head to OMHA Semis
Submitted By atavano on Tuesday, February 27, 2018
The Niagara Falls Peewee AA Flyers are heating up as they enter the OMHA Championship Semi Finals later this week.

After dropping their first Tri-County Bowen Division playoff game, the Flyers did the impossible winning their final 5 round robin games to force a one game playoff against the heavily favoured Oakville Rangers. Oakville jumped out to a 2 goal lead, but the comeback kids from Niagara Falls overcame the two goal deficit, completing the upset and moving on to the quarter finals. Leading the way up front the line of Brady McEachern, Noah LeBrasseur and Dante D’Amario coupled with the unit of Zack Whalen, Eric Lapointe, and Connor McEachern, provided a great one/two punch for the Flyers. Rounding out the offensive output were Isaac Friend, Jaedan Colbourne, and Lucas Pearson.

This past week the Niagara Falls Flyers entered their quarter final series with the Kent Cobras. The Flyers skated to a three game sweep of the Cobras in a series of tight checking games. As has been the story all year long the solid blueline of Stephan Candeloro , Eli Cardamone, Cameron Thorpe, Liam Purnell, and Donovin Ingribelli were defensively too much for Kent to handle.

Jared D’Addio, and Jackson Fillmore have lead the way between the pipes for the Flyers during their current 9 game win streak. The Flyers now enter a series against the Milton Winterhawks with the winner gaining a spot in the OMHA championships later in March.
