Tryouts for the
U10 to U16 age groups will begin the week of April 29th and run
until May 12th.
AA – April 29th
- May 5th.
A – May 6th
– May 12th.
U8, U9 and U18
Tryouts will be held in the Fall.
Tryout Process:
All players
must try out at the “AA” level. If the
player is unsuccessful, they are to report to the first scheduled “A” try
out. If a player is offered a spot on a
AA team and turns it down, they will be ineligible to attend “A” try outs.
Underage
Players (Exceptional Player Status):
Players wishing
to tryout for a division above their age category must complete the Underage
Player Application form and submit the additional underage tryout fee by March
1st 2024.
To be an
exceptional athlete, one must possess not only hockey skills that are so
superior to players his own age, but would also be superior to players one year
older than his age.
To be approved
as an exceptional player, the player must be ranked as the top player in their
position for the team in which they are trying out.
Members of the
Evaluation Committee will have the final decision for exceptional player
status. The NFMHA Board reserves the right to make all final decisions on all
player movements.
Non-Resident
Players (U12 and older):
Your NRP
Passport is required at time of registration.
Please contact your home center for details. Non-Resident Players will not be permitted on
the ice without valid paperwork.
Paperwork must
be received by the NFMHA Registrar prior to the first tryout. Coaches will not accept registrations or
paperwork.
